Ryan Wenham
Over the years I’ve worked with organisations like the BIID, and my work has been featured in places including the Architect’s Journal, as well as two Architecture Biennales; one in Venice and one in São Paulo.
I’ve come through the full architecture education system myself, so I know exactly how it feels when you graduate and suddenly realise: no one has ever properly shown you how to get hired. The job market can feel overwhelming, the rules are unspoken, and you’re left trying to guess what makes an application “good”.
I’ve also worked internationally, and I know what it looks like to apply for roles as an international student - how lonely and frustrating it can feel when you’re putting in effort and still getting silence.
That’s why I created this. Everything I share is based on real studio expectations, lived experience, and what I’ve seen work repeatedly - and that’s why people get such strong results when they follow the process.

About Ryan
Ryan Wenham’s career began traditionally. He studied at the Liverpool School of Architecture before moving to Barcelona to work in a small family-run design studio. It was there that he learnt how robust design becomes when it is shaped through genuine collaboration and strong client relationships. When he returned to Liverpool for his Master’s, he continued working with the Barcelona team, developing an international outlook and a deep appreciation for architecture and interior design.
While Ryan excelled in practice and completed his Part 3 at a respected Liverpool firm, he also saw the realities facing designers at every stage of their careers. Talented people were overlooked. Creativity was restricted. Recognition was limited. The pathway to running a successful practice felt unclear and isolating. These frustrations became the early foundations of what would eventually evolve into Larsen Architecture’s development programmes.
Today, Ryan is a Chartered Architect and Registered Interior Designer who has been recognised for his innovation, including with the Elmes Memorial Prize. His work now focuses on supporting experienced architects and designers in growing sustainable, profitable businesses, attracting high-quality clients, and taking full ownership of their careers.

How To Get Work Experience For Architecture
Ryan was invited by the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) to host an industry event - not for marketing, but because of his level of practice, knowledge, and commitment to the profession. Being trusted by a recognised professional body to lead that kind of space is the same reason this section works so well: everything you’re learning here is grounded in real industry standards and real expectations.
Ryan has also been asked to mentor graduates through the BIID Student Design Challenge, supporting a university team from the Falmouth University Interior Design course - because this professional body recognises his industry experience, credibility, and ability to develop emerging designers to a professional standard.
The BIID also invited Ryan down to London to film with them and speak on behalf of architects - sharing his perspective on the differences (and the working relationship) between architects and interior designers, and what each role is responsible for in practice.
Ryan was also selected by the BIID to sit on the panel for their “Life After Graduation 2024” workshop alongside practising interior designers and BIID members, to provide guidance and mentorship for graduates making the transition into industry. Being invited into that space (and trusted as an official contributor to a BIID professional development session) is strong proof that the standards we teach here are grounded in real practice and recognised by the professional body representing the industry.
Why we built this together
Between us, you get the best of both worlds: I bring the industry know-how, credibility and studio reality. Marc brings the career strategy, hiring psychology, and communication edge.
That combination is exactly why we’ve been able to create something genuinely unique - and why we were awarded “Best Architecture and Interior Design Professional Development Programme 2025.”
We’re also the UK’s first and only coaching and mentoring experience built specifically for architecture and design graduates - and we’re genuinely glad you’re now a part of that.
