In The Media
Our competition has been mentioned in several prestigious online journals and magazines. Take a look at the Q&A the Architect's Journal published about our competition below.
The Brief and Design Criteria
The objective of this architectural design competition was to conceptualise a vernacular meditation space within the heart of the Catalonian Pyrenees mountains.
We set the brief to give the opportunity for participants to showcase their talents and design a structure that allowed for visitors to feel a deep connection with the cultural heritage of the area.
The Brief Criteria
A meditation space
Use of vernacular architecture (local architectural style and available building materials)
An environmentally-conscious design
Acknowledgement of cultural heritage
Consideration of the site - church and landscape
Consideration of the visitor's short stays
The Design Criteria
Communication of the scheme
Consistent graphic style
The winning entry will receive the following prizes
£500 Cash Prize
A free copy of our upcoming competition booklet
The chance to sit in our judging panel in one of our future competitions

After careful consideration, the design that we believe has most strongly represented the competition criteria for El Pantà de Sau is:
La Cathédrale Engloutie - Route Towards the Church
by Jiayun Xu, Sixing Huang, Haoyang Guo.
Your impressive design, your considerations of cultural heritage, and the visitor experience are complex and emotive, and go beyond the essential requirements of the brief. The design strongly demonstrates your talent and creative skills.
