Outstanding Individuals in Architecture Awards

The "Outstanding Individual in Architecture" award category is an opportunity to acknowledge design excellence and contributions of an individual within the architecture industry.

This award category recognises individuals who have demonstrated their exceptional design abilities, leadership skills, and their positive impact on the built environment. If you know of someone who deserves this recognition or if you believe that you yourself have made positive contributions within the field, consider nominating or being nominated for these prestigious awards. Help us celebrate the work of those making a difference in the world of architecture.

Aspiring Architect of the Year

This award is designed to recognise and encourage not-yet qualified aspiring architects who have shown exceptional promise and potential in the field. It is an opportunity to acknowledge the next generation of architectural talent, and to support their continued growth and development.

Architect of the Year

This award is given to an architect who has achieved a high level of excellence in their work, and made a lasting impact on the profession. It is a recognition of their skill, creativity, and an acknowledgement of their contribution to the future of architecture.

Designer of the Year

This award is open to all designers with expertise in the creative fields such as fashion, animation, interiors, landscape design, media, and any other creative background. We are looking for the next big name in design.

Lifetime Achievement for their Contribution to Architecture

This award is a tribute to an architect who has dedicated their career to advancing the field of architecture. It recognises their lifetime commitment to the profession, and the significant contributions they have made through their work, research, and mentorship.

Outstanding Leader in Architecture of the Year

This award is designed to honour an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the field of architecture. This could be through their management of projects, their influence in the community, or their ability to inspire and mentor others. They have made a significant impact on the profession and are a role model for others. A true architectural leader.

Women in Architecture Award

This award celebrates the achievements of inspirational women in the field of architecture. It promotes women who have made significant contributions to the industry, and whose work has helped to promote and advance the role of women in architecture. This category aims to inspire and encourage more women to succeed in architecture and design.

Pride in Architecture Award

This award is specifically open to individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+ and recognises their excellence and leadership in promoting visibility and acceptance of LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities in architecture and design. The goal of this category is to inspire and encourage more LGBTQIA+ individuals to pursue careers in architecture and design and to create a more inclusive and diverse profession.

Architecture Firm of the Year Awards

The "Architecture Firm of the Year" award category celebrates and acknowledges firms with values and projects that push the boundaries within the world of design and architecture. This award recognises innovation, creativity, sustainability, and the use of cutting-edge technology in design to create exemplary architecture which sets precedent for the future of sustainable development, all while creating a positive working environment and leading the industry in education and development of its younger members.

The "Innovation in Architecture" award category recognises outstanding projects in the industry; those who push the boundaries of design, construction, materiality, sustainability and technology in architecture.
Nominate your work or the work of others that you believe demonstrate excellence in their ideas, methods and designs that are shaping the future of the built environment.

This award recognises a project that pushes the boundaries in terms of its environmental and sustainability initiatives. It acknowledges a project that not only meets but exceeds industry standards in terms of reducing its environmental footprint, promoting new sustainable technologies, energy and power efficiency, and preservation of natural resources.

Most Innovative Project of the Year

This award acknowledges a project that stands out for its creativity, originality, and unique approach to design. It recognises a project that challenges conventions and pushes the boundaries of design, construction, and functionality while demonstrating its ability to meet the brief and create a functional space for its occupiers.

Most Innovative Student Project of the Year

This award acknowledges a project by any student that stands out for its creativity, originality, and unique approach. It recognises a project that challenges conventions and pushes the boundaries of design, construction, and functionality.

Architectural Visuals of the Year

This award recognises the best architectural renderings, images, animations and virtual reality media in the industry. It acknowledges the visual storytelling that can be achieved through architectural visualisation and the beneficial impact it can have on the design process.

Completed Project of the Year

This award recognises a completed project that stands out for its design, construction, functionality, and impact on the community. It acknowledges the efforts of the design and construction teams and the final outcome of the project to deliver a high level of quality and detail.

Individual Portfolio of the Year

This award recognises the best portfolio by an individual student, architect or designer. It acknowledges the individual's ability to showcase their work, design philosophy and their contribution to the field.

Cultural Heritage Project of the Year

The Cultural Heritage Award recognises the efforts made by individuals and teams to acknowledge, appreciate, and significantly preserve cultural heritage through their work. By awarding those who strive to preserve cultural heritage, this award helps to raise awareness of the importance of architectural conservation and the role it plays in shaping our cultural identity and creating a diverse urban fabric.
